Acting CEO

Mr. Mutalib is the Acting Chief Executive Officer for Ghana Heavy Equipment Limited (GHEL). He has over 18 years of working experience in the downstream Oil and Gas sector and Equipment Management and holds a BSc Marketing from the Central University, Ghana. And with an ongoing MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management with Don Bosco University, India. Prior to his appointment, Awal was the Chief Executive Officer of vista Energy & Logistics Ghana limited and also worked with LHS Energy a Bulk Distribution Company and served in various capacities; as a Trader, and as an Operations and Marketing Executive. His experience in the industry spans the supply chain. Awal started his career in the industry in 2004 from the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) as an Ullage Monitor and worked his way up the ranks to Depot Manager in 2008. He served as a Depot Manager for three years and moved to Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) for two years where he served in the capacity of Commercial Officer. In 2013, he moved to Sahara-Group as the Supervisor, Supply & Distribution. Awal joins the team with extensive knowledge, a perspective from both the private and public service providers of the sector, and developed skills applicable to the various operations of the company.

Deputy CEO

Honourable Alhaji Mohammed Maswud is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Heavy Equipment Limited (GHEL). Prior to his appointment, he served as the District Chief Executive for Pru from 2009 -2012. He was also a two- term member of Parliament for the Pru West (2013-2020), in the Bono East Region. Honourable Maswud is an Educationist, a Psychologist and a school Counsellor. He obtained his initial teachers’ certificate ‘A’, 3-Year Post-Secondary from the Tamale Teacher Training College in 1997. He also holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Cape Coast as well as a Masters’ Degree in Guidance and Counselling (2013) from the university of Cape Coast. He taught at the various levels in the education system, from basic through to tertiary. His last teaching post was in Atebubu college of Education (2005-2008). From 2021 until his present appointment as Deputy C.E.O, he was the Municipal Guidance and Counselling Coordinator for Ayawaso North Municipal Education Directorate. He joins GHEL with a vast knowledge and experience from politics, education and social development which will help in the restructuring efforts and success of the company.

Administrator

Victoria Ofori is currently the Administrator for Ghana Heavy Equipment Limited (GHEL). She has over 7 years of working experience in the GHEL. She joined the company as a Technical Officer in 2017. Prior to that she came in as an attachment personnel in the mechanical department for 3 months as well as Sales and Marketing personnel for 1 year. As a Bachelors’ Degree holder in BSc Agricultural Engineering and a Master’s Degree holder in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, she carries a broad knowledge and skill in the field of Agricultural machineries and other equipment. As GHEL embarks on a journey to achieve greater and higher objectives and goals, she intends to make her skills applicable to the various operations of the company.

Consultant/Investment Analyst
Henry is a seasoned investment banker with a strong track record in high-value mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory. His career accomplishments include executing landmark, multi-billion dollar transactions such as Broadcom’s $69 billion acquisition of VMWare and Hitachi’s $9.5 billion acquisition of Globalogic. Henry has held senior director roles at prestigious Wall Street firms including UBS and Credit Suisse, where he advised Fortune 500 companies, sovereign wealth funds, and private equity firms on complex, cross-border deals. With additional experience at an Africa-focused private equity firm, he brings a unique perspective on global capital flows and financial structuring for high-growth ecosystems. Henry holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the NYU Stern School of Business and London Business School.
Management consultant (Heavy Duty Equipment/ Hydraulics)
Emeka holds an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the Engineering Institute of Technology and a BSc in Marketing from the University of Cape Coast. He is a collaborative technical business development professional with extensive expertise in the West African mining and construction sectors. With a proven history of delivering measurable results, his career accomplishments include securing a landmark deal to switch PW Mining International from CAT to Hitachi, valued at $4.5 million, and developing Leica digital construction revenue from $0 to $1 million within 30 months. Emeka has held key regional sales and management roles with leading firms such as Hexagon Geosystems, SMT Africa, and Dem Group, consistently achieving sales in excess of $20 million. He is a well-connected and strategic business developer, recognised for his deep market knowledge and ability to drive significant revenue growth.
Consulting Engineer (Specialised Vehicles)
Sadik holds a BEng in Motorsport Engineering from Coventry University and a first degree in Industrial Art from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He is an accomplished engineer with a proven track record in vehicle specification design, notably serving as the Ambulance Specification Designer for Ghana. His professional experience includes roles as a Research Engineer with Matengen Holdings Ltd and internships as a Systems Engineer at World of Books. Sadik is a proactive team player with significant achievements, including being a finalist for graduate roles at Rolls-Royce and BMW, and leading the EV Formula Student project at Coventry University. His diverse skill set spans analytical modelling, technical research, and cross-functional collaboration.
